Notice and Safety Instructions

根据学校的安排，寒假学生放假时间为2025年1月20日(周一)至2月22日（周六）；请于2025年2月23日按时完成新学期报到，2月24日（星期一）正式上课。

According to the school's arrangement, the winter vacation for students is scheduled fromJanuary 20, 2025 (Monday) to February 22, 2025 (Saturday). Students are required to complete the registration for the new semester on time onFebruary 23, 2025, and classes will officially commence onFebruary 24, 2025 (Monday).

1. 请同学们注意护照到期日及签证到期日。护照请在到期之前及早申请延期。签证（居留许可）在2025年2月26日之前到期的，请于2025年1月17日前到国教学院519办公室办理签证续签或换发。请提前缴清学宿费，并携带护照、签证联系单和6个月内含毒品检测的体检报告等前来申请。

Please pay attention to the expiration dates of your passport and visa. Please apply for a passport renewal before its expiration. If your visa (residence permit) expiresbefore February 26, 2025, please come to CIE (Room 519) to apply for a visa renewal byJanuary 17, 2025. Please also settle your tuition and accommodation fees in advance and bring your passport, visa liaison form, and a medical report (including drug test) issued within the last six months when applying.

2. 假期有回国探亲或前往其他城市旅行相关安排的同学，请务必于离校前通过钉钉如实、详细地填写离校信息。待返校后，应及时向学院老师进行报备，以便学校准确掌握各位同学的行程情况。

Students who have plans to return to your home country or travel to other cities during the holiday, please make sure to fill out the departure information truthfully and in detail on DingTalk before leaving school. After returning to campus, you should report to the faculty in a timely manner so that the school can accurately keep track of your travel plans.

3. 寒假期间，公寓实行值班制，每天将安排一名老师值班。

During the winter vacation, the apartment will still implement the duty system, with one teacher on duty each day.

4. 寒假期间，公寓会安排两次公寓检查(分别是2025年1月26日和2025年2月16日)，重点检查 4 号楼学生寝室是否存在用火用电安全隐患，以及是否留宿他人等。

During the winter vacation, there will be two apartment inspections (on January 26, 2025, and February 16, 2025). These inspections will primarily focus on identifying fire and electrical safety hazards in the student dormitories of Building 4 and checking for unauthorized overnight guests.

Wherever you are, please keep your phone and WeChat available, closely follow the notices issued by the school, and respond in a timely manner. If you encounter difficulties or need help, please inform your college teacher promptly.

为度过一个平安的假期，特此提醒广大同学在放假期间注意以下事项：

To ensure a safe holiday, students are reminded to pay attention to the following during the vacation:

1. 请勿从事任何与毒品相关的行为，违者将受到严厉的惩罚。在中国，大麻、鸦片、海洛因、冰毒、吗啡、可卡因等均属毒品。吸毒在中国属于严重违法行为，走私、贩卖、运输、制造毒品等属于严重犯罪行为。

Do not engage in any drug-related activities. Violators will be severely punished. In China, substances like marijuana, opium, heroin, methamphetamine, morphine, and cocaine are considered drugs. Drug use in China is a serious illegal act, and smuggling, trafficking, transporting, or manufacturing drugs are considered serious criminal offenses.

2. 禁止非法打工。外籍人员未按照规定取得工作许可和工作类居留证件在中国境内工作的，属于非法就业。

Illegal work is prohibited. Foreign nationals working in China without the required work permit and work-related residence documents are engaging in illegal employment.

3. 要保管好现金和贵重物品，手机、手提电脑、数码相机等应随身携带或托人保管，离开时要关好门窗、锁好抽屉及房门，以防失窃。

Safeguard your cash and valuables. Mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras, etc., should be carried with you or entrusted to someone for safekeeping. When leaving, make sure to lock doors, windows, drawers, and the room to prevent theft.

4. 离开宿舍、住处前要检查用水、用电安全，检查是否关好水龙头、切断电源，防止火灾、触电及其它安全事故的发生。

Before leaving your dormitory, check the safety of water and electricity use.Ensure that faucets are turned off and power is cut off to prevent fires, electric shocks, and other safety accidents.

5. 回国途中或外出旅行期间注意交通安全。如有乘坐交通工具需求，请选择正规有牌照车辆，并系好安全带。

Pay attention to traffic safety while returning to your country or during travel. If you need to use transportation, choose a licensed vehicle and fasten your seatbelt.

6. 谨防各类诈骗短信或电话。不要把你的个人账户信息告诉任何陌生来电。切勿向身份不明的呼叫者透露任何卡或者验证码信息。

Be cautious of various types of scam texts or calls.Do not give your personal account information to any strangers who call. Never disclose any card or verification code information to callers with unknown identities.
