Kun-Huang Huarng is the Vice President and Distinguished Professor of National Taipei University of Business and a Professor of Creative Technologies and Product Design of the same institution. Professor Huarng was awarded Life Fellow by International Society of Management Engineers. Meanwhile, he received Outstanding Service Award Literati Network Award for Excellence from Emerald and was an Advisory Board Member of Emerald. His teaching and research interests include e-commerce and big data analytics.

Fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic are mathematical concepts that extend traditional binary set theory and logic to handle uncertainty. In a fuzzy set, elements can belong to the sets with varying degrees of memberships, which can be any value between 0 and 1. This allows for representing uncertainty. A set can be a linguistic term, such as “hot” or “cold.” Fuzzy logic provides a framework for reasoning with linguistic terms, such as "hot" or " cold," which are inherently fuzzy and difficult to express using traditional binary logic.
